Organic Turf Training in NY - 9 Locations, Jan/Feb

Grassroots Environmental Education is currently accepting reservations for a one-day natural turf management course, aimed at enabling compliance with new NYS law prohibiting the use of pesticides on school grounds and playing fields. The course will be offered at various locations across New York State (see calendar below). Led by nationally-recognized turf expert Chip Osborne, this course covers the basic science and practice of natural turf management, including soil biology, soil testing, natural amendments, horticultural practices, sports fields policies, budgeting and pest management.

Participants will receive course materials, snacks and lunch. One individual from each school system or district (or their designee) may attend the program at no cost. Registration for all additional personnel is $185 per person. Space is limited and reservations are required.
